I spent some time moving my studio to a new room. Not only is it brighter, both in color and in having more windows, I had the chance to design it to have the storage and work space I wanted. My husband built my work bench and was kind enough to create little cubbies for me to hold each color of glass rods for making my beads. It is wonderful to have them sorted out carefully so I can grab them easily while I work and I also love that the colors add to the fun of the room!

New Work
My newest work ranges from fuctional pieces, such as glasses, bowls and cheese platters, to free standing whimsical sculptures to a large installation, Splash! Get over to the Saint Peter Arts Center before the show comes down this weekend.
Wine art

I know they say you can’t judge a book by its’ cover, so I am sure the same would be true of a wine label. But as an artist I could not resist this bottle. It is the most beautiful bottle I have ever seen and when I read “street art and wine – an unexpected pairing,” I was sold. Even if it turns out that I don’t like the wine, it is worth it for the bottle alone.
Splash!
Some pictures of my installation currently on view at the Arts Center of Saint Peter this month. The installation also includes the sound and scent of rain to encourage the audience to interact with it and share their own memories of rain in a journal. Come to the exhibit to share yours with me.

Etsy Site
ReflectionsGlassArts
Today I am launching my Etsy site: ReflectionsGlassArts This feels like a big, exciting step for me. I have started with my beaded glass art – earrings and wine stoppers, and will be adding my blown glass work soon. I have sold some blown work and earrings at my exhibit at the St Peter Arts Center (up through the end of this month) and am eager to embark on this new journey of online sales. I hope you will visit my site, select me as a favorite and perhaps even purchase something you like. Here is some info on my shop:
Creating my work brings me peace, energy and joy and I hope that even for just a moment, it can help others find that too. Whimsy and playfulness can be powerful tools, providing the energy to change our day or our outlook. They can give us strength to get through the tough times or help us heal. Reflections: capturing joy and beauty in glass, encapsulates what I feel about my art and what I hope to give back to the world, something beautiful. When I create my glass beads and blown glass work, I am completely lost in the moment, almost meditatively. Each individual part is crafted with joy and care. The colors and patterns are inspiration for what I create for a final piece, be that jewelry, a sculpture or a functional piece. I hope each time you wear or use a piece of my work, it brings you joy and light as well.
